Indian Army has published a recruitment notification for the recruitment of Medical Corps vacancies as Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officer for both male and female candidates.

No. of post-: Total posts 100 vacancies
Age Limit-: Candidate must not have attained 45 years as on 31-12-2011
Qualification-: Candidate must pass in medical qualification included in first/second schedule or part II of the third schedule of IMC Act 1956. The candidate must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/MCI.
Selection Procedure-: The mode of selection is through interview by a Board of Officers in the month of July/August 2011 at Army Hospital.
Fees-: Non-refundable Demand draft of any nationalized Bank for Rs 200/- in favors of Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (APF Fund), payable at New Delhi. (Candidates should write name and address on the reverse of Demand draft).
How to Apply-: The eligible candidates, who have passed their final MBBS examination in first or second attempt, candidates who have taken more than two chances in final MBBS need not apply, and Post Graduate Degree holders that are MD/MS/MCH/DM may also apply. The interested candidates may send their application in prescribed format or on a good quality A4 size paper duly completed in all respects strictly on the prescribed format given in the advertisement, along with attested copies of required essentials and enclosures, to the following address, Office of the Director General Armed Forces Medical Services/DG-1A, Ministry of Defence, ‘M’ Block, New Delhi-110001, on or before, 16-05-2011.
