Job Description:- Western Railway offers submissions from qualified confide people for the vacancy of Gangman and Trackman:
Qualification: 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent. Applicants who are performing at and/or awaiting results of final examination of class 10th on the last date of downloading of application are not eligible to apply. Academic qualification must be from a recognized Educational Institution / Board/University, otherwise candidature shall be rejected. Candidates having higher educational qualification may also apply.
Age Bound: Should be between 18?33 years as on 01.01.2013.
Recruitment Procedure: Applicants would be required to perform for written test (objective type multiple choice questions) on a common date to be declared later by Ministry of Railways. They would be required to qualify Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Examination also, to be declared later after fruitful conduct of written test. Final enrolment panel will be based on applicants qualifying the written examination, physical efficiency test, medical examination and document confirmation. Merit shall be strictly based on marks obtained in written test. Date and Time of examination will be fixed based on administrative feasibility. No request for change of time, date and centre of examination will be entertained on any account. Applicant trying to use influence or unfair means would be disqualified. Western Railway Administration reserves the right to allot the successful applicants against any of the available posts/division/place.
Examination Fee: a. The Examination fee for unreserved and OBC candidates is Rs 40/- (Rupees Forty) only. b. The examination fee would be required to be paid in the nearest STATE BANK of INDIA branch only (and NOT in any of its 7 subsidiary branches like State Bank of Patiala or State Bank of Bikaner, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Travancore, etc.). Applicants should download the CHALLAN FORM FOR FEE PAYMENT from our website only from PRINT CHALLAN FORM link after filling their online registration number and date of birth. After downloading the submission and the Challan, applicants should deposit the fee only on the next working day or any subsequent day after 1130 hours only by giving to the Bank the original Challan form. Bank will charge a nominal amount for the transaction which is already mentioned in the challan form. RRC copy of Challan form duly certified by the Bank Authority must accompany the submission with Fee Information column in the submission properly filled by the candidate. Xerox copy of the challan shall not be accepted. c. It may be noted that no other mode of fee payment shall be accepted by RRC. Submissions received with cash / Cheque / Central Recruitment stamps/DD/Postal Order and Money orders shall be rejected, and amount forfeited. d. Examination fee is not refundable under any conditions.
How to apply
Interested applicants should apply in the prescribed format. Its unique registration number may be sent by ordinary post to Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, Western Railway, Parcel Depot, Alibhai Premji Road, Grant Road, Mumbai-400 007 or dropped in the Application Box kept in the RRC office, upto 17.00 hours Of the closing date of 24.11.2012 till 1700 hours. Submissions received after closing date and time shall not be entertained. The envelope having the submission should be clearly super scribed “Submission for vacancies in Pay Band-I of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of 1800 – Western Railway”. A applicant should submit not more than one submission form, even if he/she intends to be careful for more than one or all categories. Applicant submitting more than one submission form will not be considered and even if such a applicant gets selected inadvertently, he/she will not be offered employment.
